26 Acknowledgements

We would like to thank the following people for their assistance in this project: Lance Eaton and Maric Kramer of the Brandeis University Library, and Maria Gould of the California Digital Library. Thank you to Mollie S. Burke for use of her oil painting for our cover image.

We would also like to thank the Brandeis Library for awarding us the Affordable and Open Educational Resources Grant, which enabled us to complete the work.

By creating this book, we show our commitment to the affordability and access which make the college experience more possible, more equitable for all students.

It is no accident that “Open Access” should go hand in hand with the concept of Inner Peace Outer Peace. The practice of Inner Peace (IP) as described in this book and class is open to all, present and affordable with no gatekeeper. For any student, the net effect of understanding all the many variations of Outer Peace work (OP) mentioned in the book could be to grow your capacity for compassion and a willingness to listen to all points of view: in other words, a personal embodiment of  Net Neutrality.
